  • Turmeric Extract (Curcuminoids) is manufactured from the rhizome of Curcuma Longa also known as Turmeric.
  • Curcuma Longa (Turmeric plant) is native of India, belongs to the family Zingiberaceae.
  • Curcuma Longa is cultivated mostly in southern part of India.
  • Curcuma Longa Rhizome is used in food and as a folk medicine since ancient times in India and most of the Asian Countries.


ACTIVE INGREDIENT

  • The active ingredient in Turmeric Extract is Curcuminoids, Curcuminoids consist of curcumin as a major portion, bismethoxy curcumin and de-bismethoxy curcumin as minor portion.
  • The colour of the Turmeric, yellow to orange is due to the Ingredient Curcuminoids.

  • Curcuminoids is linear diarylheptanoid.

EXTRACT DETAILS

  • Turmeric extract (Curcuminoids) is extracted from the dry Rhizome of Curcuma Longa.
  • Turmeric extract is extracted by using solvents.
  • Turmeric extract is standardized for the active ingredient Curcuminoids, by HPLC.

EXTRACT TYPE

We manufacture and supply three grades of Turmeric Extract
  • Turmeric Extract-95% (Curcuminoids-95%)
    Yellow to orange powder with bulk density 0.4–0.8g/ml., insoluble in water and partly soluble inalcohol (Turmeric extract consist of minimum Curcumin- 75%, bismethoxy curcumin -15%, and de-bismethoxy curcumin-2%).
  • Turmeric Extract-65% (Curcuminoids-65%)
    Orange to orangish brown powder with bulk density 0.4-0.8 g/ml., slightly soluble in water and in alcohol.
  • Turmeric Extract (water soluble)
    Orangish brown to reddish brown powder with bulk density 0.5-0.8 g/ml., soluble in water, Curcuminoids content -10-20%.
